Bauchklang

Over the last six years Bauchklang have joined the ranks of those select few Austrian bands who are neither musically nor ideologically abiding by any international genre conventions, but creating them instead. The Rubik’s cube-esque, completely unpredictable chemistry between their unmatched beatboxing talents has reminded a generation of people that they have bodies of their own. This reputation as corporal trailblazers has paved the way for Bauchklang to make a showing at globally renowned avantgarde events like the Transmusicales in Rennes/France, the prestigious Roskilde Festival in Denmark – and indeed the highly pedigreed Montreal jazz festival in Canada.
