The Bug

The Bug is Kevin Martin of Techno Animal, Ice, God and Curse of the Golden Vampire. His album Pressure on Klein / Rephlex was described as "an exhilarating mutant ragga/dancehall/techno mash up."
Kevin Martin has been obsessed with ragga's glamorous gyrations for some years now, and here he brings to record one of his longer term accomplices in the dancehall. Four cuts wide here, showcasing some mighty sublow lines beyond bashment and into straight speaker ruffage. Yet as the twelve progresses, the realisation begins to sink in that Kevin has become a top flight raggamuffin producer along the way.
Ever since his first outing, 'Seismic', in 2001, The Bug has amassed the support of such electronic heavyweights as Andy Weatherall, Adrian Sherwood, Kid 606 and Aphex Twin.
